About the Center for Homeland Security & Resilience

Rooted in the realist tradition and the belief that national and homeland security are too important to stand idly by while security threats and risks continue to increase, the CHSR was established in 2015 as a non-partisan and not-for-profit ‘501c3’ Think Tank headquartered in Annapolis, MD.

However, far from being just another traditional Washington area Think Tank, CHSR's founders seek to ensure they are recognized as leaders in a new kind of Think Tank -- one perhaps better described as a Think - Educate - Act Tank.  In pursuit of these 3 goals -- to thinkto educate, and to act -- we seek to share information about innovative, comprehensive, and realistic solutions to meet today's complex challenges.  We do this by ensuring robust public dialogue on these matters and promoting appropriate attention by both public and private sector entities, including leading multinationals, critical infrastructure owners and operators, and members of the legislative and executive branches.

CHSR staff also conduct and manage studies on specific topics for a variety of parties interested in helping the nation to remain secure and resilient in defiance of the threats we face.
